Ultrasonic metal welding machine

The ultrasonic metal welding machine is a specialized device that achieves solid-state welding of metal materials using high-frequency ultrasonic vibrations. This equipment requires no welding wire or flux and can complete welding at room temperature, preserving the original properties of the metal and preventing heat damage to thin-gauge materials. It is suitable for single-point or multi-point welding of non-ferrous metals such as copper, aluminum, and nickel, and is widely used in automotive manufacturing, battery production, electronic devices, and aerospace industries.

Core Product Features

  • Room-Temperature Welding:  Solid-state welding at room temperature avoids metal degradation or deformation, ideal for thin metals.
  • High Efficiency & Energy Saving:  Uses 30× less energy than resistance welding, lowering costs.
  • No Current Conduction:  Welding without current preserves electrical conductivity.
  • No Pre-Treatment Needed:  High-frequency vibrations remove oxides, oils, and contaminants directly.
  • Precision & Stability:  Linear guides ensure accuracy; optional replaceable or integrated tool steel heads; dedicated actuators deliver stable ultrasonic energy.
  • Safe & Easy Operation:  Built-in protection circuit, simple controls, supports single or multi-point welding of non-ferrous metals.

The ultrasonic metal welding machine mainly consists of the following key components:

  • Ultrasonic vibration system: It generates interfacial friction energy through the ultrasonic vibration generator and transmits the vibrations to the metal joints.
  • Transmission components: They conduct the ultrasonic vibrations to the metal joints, causing friction heat to be generated in the joint area.
  • Pressure system: It applies sufficient pressure to maintain the contact of the metal joints and ensure the welding quality.
  • Control system: It is used to control the ultrasonic vibration system, pressure system, and other relevant parameters to ensure the stability and consistency of the welding process.

During the operation of the ultrasonic metal welding machine, first, the metal joints to be welded are placed in the appropriate position. The ultrasonic vibration system transmits the ultrasonic vibrations to the metal joints through the vibration transmission components, causing interfacial friction energy to be generated at the joints. This leads to the melting of the metal part on the joint surface and the formation of the weld. At the same time, appropriate pressure is applied to the joint to ensure the firmness and stability of the weld. Finally, after cooling and solidification of the welded part, a solid weld seam is formed on the metal joint.

The ultrasonic metal welding machine delivers key advantages such as fast welding speed, high welding quality, and elimination of filler materials. It is widely used in automotive manufacturing, electronic equipment manufacturing, aerospace, and other fields for welding metal parts, circuit boards, components, and more.

Characteristics of ultrasonic metal spot welding machine:

  • Precision linear guidesensures smooth operation and great accuracy of the system;
  • Welding head and selecting Cost-effective replaceable tips or integrated high hardness tool steel welding head can quickly install and reduce costs;
  • The unique actuator of the specialized ultrasonic welding machine can effectively transmit ultrasonic energy to the welding head, ensuringwelding quality;
  • Easy to operate, built-in electronic protection circuit, safeto use, suitable for welding of similar metals, capable of single or multiple point welding of non-ferrous metals.

Ultrasonic Metal Spot Welding Process:

  • Place the workpiece (aluminum,nickel, copper, and metal sheets) manually into the lower fixture on the workstation of the lower fixture on the workstation of the machine.
  • Press the start switch of the equipment,and the equipment will automatically compress the workpiece, initiating the spot-welding process.
  • After one welding cycle is completed,the equipment automatically releases the compression device and automatically moves the welded workpiece to the next position (the moving distance can be adjusted freely according to the spacing of the metal sheets). The next welding cycle begins. This process continues until all required welding strips are completed.
  • After the entire welding of the workpiece is completed,the equipment automatically releases all compression devices and resets the lower fixture to its initial position.
  • The operator removes the welded workpiece,and the welding process is completed.
